The Christian Heady Foundation is a non-profit organization that was founded by Doug and Leslie Heady in June 2022. The inspiration for the foundation comes from their son’s courageous battle with DSRCT cancer from his diagnosis in June 2020 to when cancer tragically took Christian September, 3, 2021. The Headys felt so deeply inspired by Christian's strength, courage, and spirit through the entire fight that they are compelled to not only honor Christian's legacy by telling his story, but to help other local children diagnosed with cancer and their families. The Headys want to provide a lifeline to those who find themselves in this unimaginable place and participate in helping them find joy in these seemingly dark times.

Our Purpose
Proceeds to the Christian Heady Foundation go to local and regional families that are dealing with childhood cancer. We were so inspired by Christian, we want to help these families with anything they need. It could be from gas to treatment, or special trips that the child wants. Or maybe, an amazing surprise. Christian wanted us to pass his legacy on and that is why we started the non-profit Christian Heady Foundation!
88 Strong: Passing It On was the first fundraiser that was put on for the Christian Heady Foundaiton. Proceeds from the event have already been helping other families with a childhood cancer diagnosis. The focus of the foundation is creating joyful memories and moments in the cancer fight. The foundation hopes to partner with kids and families to create memorable and beautiful experiences. The moments the Headys had creating memories with Christian not only sustained them through the journey but will be carried with them through the rest of their lives. Most importantly those experiences brought so much joy to Christian and helped him keep fighting! That is the heart of the Christian Heady Foundation; to provide support and joyful moments in the midst of the fight.
